Towmaster Backs The Best: The Atwater A’s Are Champions!

Atwater, MN (located 15 minutes outside of Litchfield) is now home to a champion 12U baseball team! The Atwater A’s 12U team earned a spot to compete in this year’s Gopher State Tournament of Champions for the first time in the team’s history.

Supporting The A’s

The Atwater A’s are an important part of the Towmaster community, because Towmaster’s Trailer Process Planner, Katie Conway, has a son on the team.  She came to us to ask if we would be interested in paying the team’s entry fee for the state tournament, and of course we said yes!  Katie’s son Dylan is #13 and plays outfield. We were so happy to be able to support the Atwater A’s and cheer as the team won their way to be champions!

The Atwater A’s were from the smallest town to compete in the championship games.  They came to win and did just that with a final record of 6-0! The first 4 games were won by the 10-run rule, a rule that states if at the end of a regulation game one team has a lead of ten (10) runs or more, the manager of the team with the least runs shall concede the victory to the opponent.

The 5th game was a close one, but they pulled through in the bottom of the 7th inning to win 13-12. They won the championship game with a winning score of 19-4 ending the 4th inning with the 15-run rule, stating at the end of three innings, one team has a lead of 15 runs or more, the team with the least runs conceded the victory to the opponent.

After a flawless competition, the Atwater A’s were named the 12U Class A Champions.  They will be receiving a custom championship ring at the Minnesota Twins game on September 25th.

We are incredibly proud of the whole entire team, and were happy to play a part. Congratulations to the Atwater A’s on this amazing accomplishment, we hope to see you back in the same place next year!
