Learn more about our trailer options below, including various ramp styles and galvanizing for increased durability and rust resistance.
Trailer Options
Air ramps are controlled by an onboard air tank. Releasing air lowers the ramps and filling the actuators raises the ramps. This is an economical way to add automatic ramp lifts to your trailer. Air ramps are 6 ft. long with a 16-degree incline. 22′ main deck required for this option.
Add the bi-fold ramp option to your deck over model. The ramp is full width (8′-6″ wide) x 11′ long. 6′ beavertail at 8 degrees comes with this option for a smooth continuous load angle, along with the 9-degree incline on the bi-fold ramp. Super easy loading and unloading with a low degree of incline.
The Single and Tandem Fixed Booster offers additional axle spread for legal hauling during restrictions and added weight capabilities during permit loads. Shims allow for adjusting the amount of load the stinger axle transfers. These options can come with fixed axles or our Flip Axle for even more versatility.
We offer several ramp options for our tag trailers. They can be angle-iron cleats, wood-topped, star-plate, or expanded metal and in different widths and lengths. Not all ramp styles fit each trailer, so ask your dealer for specific ramp options for your Towmaster trailer.
Unlike paint, galvanizing creates a metallurgical bond with the steel that forms several layers. These layers protect the steel from rust corrosion and rust seepage in ways paint simply cannot. Some of these formed layers are harder than the steel itself, creating abrasion resistance to help prevent wear from gravel or sand.
Hydraulic ramps are controlled by an on-board electric over hydraulic pump. They are standard with a 5 ft. beavertail at 12 degrees and 3 ft. wide x 6 ft. long hydraulic ramps at a 16-degree incline. This option may be added to almost any deck-over trailer with a capacity of 20,000 lbs. or more. 22′ main deck required for this option.
Add the Double-Break Beavertail option to your deck-over model and you’ll have one of the easiest loading/unloading trailers in the business. The option comes standard with 6′ ramps and the 7′-6″ beavertail goes from 12 degrees down to 6 degrees! The Double-Break Beavertail minimizes “high pointing” with a smooth transition from beavertail to flat deck.
